Cookie policy

Cookie policy

Effective: 2026-05-26

This page explains what cookies are, which ones logistow.com uses, what each one does, and how you control them.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your browser. It can hold things like a session ID (so the cart remembers what you put in it), an analytics token, or a marketing identifier. Some cookies expire when you close your browser; others stick around for months or years.

We use cookies — both our own and from a small set of trusted third parties — for three purposes: to make the site work, to measure how the site is used, and to show relevant ads.

Categories of cookies we use

1. Strictly necessary (always on)

These cookies are required for logistow.com to function. You can't turn them off without breaking the site.

Cookie Set by Purpose Lifetime
cart Shopify Tracks items in your shopping cart 2 weeks
cart_sig Shopify Cart integrity signature 2 weeks
cart_ts Shopify Cart timestamp 2 weeks
_shopify_y Shopify Anonymous visitor identifier 1 year
_shopify_s Shopify Session identifier 30 minutes
secure_customer_sig Shopify Customer login session 20 years (only set if you log in)
_orig_referrer Shopify Tracks where you arrived from session
_landing_page Shopify First page you landed on 2 weeks

2. Analytics (you can opt out)

These cookies help us measure how people use the site so we can improve it. They don't identify you personally to us — they aggregate behavior.

Cookie Set by Purpose Lifetime
_shopify_sa_p Shopify Analytics Page-view analytics 30 minutes
_shopify_sa_t Shopify Analytics Session tracking for analytics 30 minutes
_y Shopify Aggregate visitor ID 1 year
_s Shopify Aggregate session ID 30 minutes

3. Marketing and advertising (you can opt out)

These cookies let us run paid ads on Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and TikTok, measure which ads brought you here, and show ads to people who visited but didn't buy.

Cookie / pixel Set by Purpose Lifetime
_fbp Meta Pixel Tracks site visits from Facebook/Instagram ads 90 days
_fbc Meta Pixel Tracks specific ad clicks from Meta 90 days
_ttp TikTok Pixel Tracks site visits from TikTok ads 13 months
tt_appInfo TikTok Pixel TikTok ad attribution session
tt_pixel_session_index TikTok Pixel TikTok session tracking session

What these pixels do, in plain English:

  • When you land on logistow.com from a Meta or TikTok ad, the pixel records that you arrived
  • As you browse, the pixel notes what you looked at, what you added to cart, and whether you bought anything
  • That data goes to Meta/TikTok so they can: (a) tell us which ads work, and (b) show ads to you on their platforms if you didn't buy

How to control cookies

Inside Logistow

We'll show a cookie banner the first time you visit. You can accept all, reject non-essential, or pick categories. You can change this at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the website footer.

Inside your browser

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies will break the cart and checkout.

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Inside Meta and TikTok

You can also opt out of personalized ads at the platform level:

  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram): Settings → Ads → Ad preferences → Ad settings
  • TikTok: Settings → Privacy → Ads → Personalized ads

Industry opt-out tools

Global Privacy Control

We respect the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends GPC, we treat it as an opt-out of "sale" and "sharing" of personal information under US state privacy laws.

EU and UK visitors

If you're in the EU, UK, or EEA, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time using the cookie preferences link in the footer, with no consequence to your ability to use the site.

The legal basis for strictly-necessary cookies is legitimate interest (the site can't work without them). The legal basis for analytics and marketing cookies is your consent.

Do Not Track

Most browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. There's no industry standard for how sites should respond to it, so we treat it as informational only. For a clear opt-out, use the cookie banner or the Global Privacy Control.

Changes

If we add new cookies (for example, a new analytics tool), we'll update this page and change the effective date at the top. We'll re-prompt for consent if the new cookies fall into a category you previously declined.
